Delage

Founded in 1905 by Louis Delâge, Delage built some of the finest French cars of the interwar era — voiturette and Grand Prix racers on one hand, and refined straight-eight road cars on the other. The 1930s D8 series, and above all the D8-120 built under the post-1935 Delahaye partnership, gave the coachbuilders of Paris an outstanding chassis: aerodynamic coupés by Letourneur et Marchand, Pourtout and Chapron rank among the most admired designs of the decade. Production ended in 1953; the great D8-120s remain blue-chip concours cars.
