Gordon-Keeble

1 guide · 1964–1967

The Gordon-Keeble GK1 is one of the great might-have-beens of British motoring: a Bertone-styled, Giugiaro-penned four-seater GT with Corvette V8 power, glassfibre bodywork and a tortoise badge chosen with self-deprecating humour. Around 100 were built between 1964 and 1966 before undercapitalisation killed the company — the car was, famously, priced too low to survive. An extraordinary survival rate (the vast majority still exist) and a fiercely loyal owners' community keep the GK1 a cherished insider's classic.
