Peugeot

1 guide · 1984–1994

Peugeot is one of the oldest names in motoring — building cars since 1889 — but its collector legend was written in two bursts of competition genius: the Group B 205 T16 that won consecutive World Rally Championships in the mid-1980s, and the 905 that took Le Mans in 1992 and 1993. The road-going 205 GTI remains the benchmark hot hatch of its era, now a blue-chip modern classic with concours-grade examples commanding remarkable money, while earlier gems like the 504 Coupé and Cabriolet carry quiet Pininfarina elegance. The marque today competes at Le Mans again with the 9X8 hypercar.
