Subaru
1 guide · 1994–2007
Subaru's collector identity was forged in the forests of the World Rally Championship: the blue-and-gold Imprezas of Colin McRae and Richard Burns took three consecutive constructors' titles in the mid-1990s and made the WRX and STI badges shorthand for rally-bred performance. The limited editions — the 22B STI above all, built in 400 examples to celebrate the championships — now trade at extraordinary money, leading the entire JDM collector wave. Flat-four thrum, symmetrical all-wheel drive and motorsport pedigree keep the classic STIs appreciating as the marque itself pivots to electrified crossovers.
