Voisin

Gabriel Voisin built aircraft before cars, and never stopped thinking like an aviator: his Avions Voisin machines of the 1920s and 30s are the most intellectually distinctive automobiles of the classic era — sleeve-valve engines, aluminium construction, Art Deco coachwork of geometric daring, and details like no other marque's. Le Corbusier drove one and photographed his buildings with it; the C28 Aérosport remains a design-history landmark. Production ended around the Second World War, and surviving Voisins are concours royalty — Best of Show winners prized precisely for their refusal to resemble anything else.
