Saleen

Steve Saleen turned racing success into America's best-known specialist marque, building certified high-performance Mustangs from 1984 that became collectables in their own right — early 'Fox body' Saleens especially. The S7 of 2000 was the marque's masterpiece: America's first true mid-engined supercar of the modern era, a 7-litre, 200-mph machine that won its class at Le Mans and, in twin-turbo form, ran with anything on earth. Fewer than a hundred S7s were built, and they remain the blue-chip American supercar of their generation.
