Toyota

1 guide · 1993–2002

Toyota's collector story hides inside the world's largest carmaker: the 2000GT of 1967 — Japan's first supercar, built in 351 examples and immortalised in a Bond film — now trades in the millions as the founding blue chip of Japanese collecting. The Supra lineage, crowned by the twin-turbo A80 that became a tuning legend, leads the JDM market's most liquid segment, while rally homologation Celicas and the mid-engined MR2 have devoted followings. The GR era — Yaris, Corolla and the revived Supra — shows the giant still takes enthusiasts seriously, with the limited GRs already collecting waiting lists and premiums.
