Jim Stokes Workshops (JSW Group)
Restoration and engineering house
One of the most serious engineering operations in the trade, filling five units and more than 30,000 sq ft with around 65 people, and led full time by founder Jim Stokes for over 40 years. The defining specialism is pre-war Alfa Romeo — specifically the 8C built between 1931 and 1939 — with work extending across Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley. Capability runs from complete restoration through historic coachwork, chassis and component fabrication to race preparation and pre-purchase inspection. Unusually, JSW manufactures cylinder heads, blocks, crankcases, pumps and carburettors, supplying trade and private restorers alike. A Founding Partner of the Historic & Classic Vehicles Alliance.
