One of the best-known names in Mercedes restoration and restomodding, roughly 30km north of Stuttgart. The strongest endorsement available in this trade leads the record: both the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center and the Mercedes-Benz Museum have commissioned Mechatronik to restore cars. The New-Tech Series is the signature output — the M-SL built on the W113 Pagoda and the M-Coupé and M-Cabrio on the W111 — where original bodywork is retained and everything beneath it replaced, in some cases with modern AMG drivetrains. Most customers arrive with their own original car, which is reconstructed to their specification. A substantial dealership in rare collector vehicles and servicing of 1980s-onward AMG models run alongside, but the workshop is clearly the foundation.
