The Vanquish Zagato is a four-body coachbuilt Aston Martin developed with Zagato, whose partnership with Aston Martin began with the DB4 GT Zagato. All four bodies — Coupé, Volante, Speedster and Shooting Brake — are built on the Vanquish S and share its 600 PS naturally-aspirated V12 and Touchtronic III transmission. Every body panel is carbon fibre.
Coupé production commenced late 2016. The Speedster and Shooting Brake were announced at Monterey in August 2017, with the Shooting Brake entering production in 2018. All four bodies sold out before deliveries began. Common design cues include Vulcan-inspired 'Blade' tail lights and 3D Zagato 'Z' motifs set into the grille and rear vent meshes. The Speedster carries twin 'Speed Humps' echoing Zagato's traditional double-bubble roofline, plus pop-up roll hoops. The Shooting Brake is a strict two-seater with a double-bubble roof and glass inlays.
The Vanquish Zagato family is the modern-era peak of Aston Martin's longest-standing coachbuilding relationship and is built on the last naturally-aspirated V12 Vanquish. Across four bodies — Coupé, Volante, Speedster and Shooting Brake — every car sold out before delivery. The Speedster is the rarest of the four bodies and the family sits alongside the One-77 and V12 Zagato as the modern-era Zagato-derived Aston halo cars.
