Overview

Why this car matters

Unveiled in Miami on 3 May 2024, the Ferrari 12Cilindri succeeded the 812 Superfast as the marque's front-engined naturally-aspirated V12 two-seater. Coupé and Spider were launched simultaneously.

The 12Cilindri carries a further evolution of the F140 V12 line, in an eight-speed dual-clutch driveline that continues Ferrari's front-V12 grand touring tradition.

Direct successor to the 812 Superfast and the continuation of Ferrari's front-engined naturally-aspirated V12 line — coupé and Spider launched together at unveiling, framing the model as a single product rather than a staggered rollout.

Buyer's Guide

What to look for

Authorised dealer paperwork and specification

Confirm chassis number, delivery specification, options, colour and interior trim against the authorised Ferrari dealer's records, and cross-check every claim against the delivery paperwork and Ferrari's own build documentation. For the 12Cilindri specifically, verify whether the car is a coupé or Spider; both were launched together, and Spider-specific inspection covers the retractable hardtop, seals and stowage components.

Naturally-aspirated V12 service items

The F140HD naturally-aspirated V12 depends on scheduled service by an authorised Ferrari dealer. Confirm the service record, any software campaigns and dealer diagnostic reports before purchase.

DCT gearbox and carbon-ceramic brakes

The 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and carbon-ceramic brakes are dealer-diagnosed systems. Confirm clutch wear percentage, TCU fault history and disc condition against a current authorised Ferrari diagnostic report.

Body choice — coupé, Spider retractable-hardtop

The 12Cilindri was launched as coupé and Spider simultaneously. Verify the exact body and specification against the delivery documents, and confirm the Spider's retractable-hardtop mechanism, seals and stowage components are complete and function through their full cycle.
