Replacing the 599 GTB in 2012, the F12berlinetta paired Ferrari's 6,262cc F140 V12 (731 bhp) with a 7-speed dual-clutch transaxle in a two-seat aluminium-bodied coupe styled by Pininfarina. The F12tdf followed in 2015–2016 as a limited-production (799 cars) lightweight derivative producing 769 bhp with rear-wheel steering and revised aero.
Production of the standard F12 totalled approximately 4,500 cars; the F12tdf is the limited collector-focused derivative.
