Why this car matters

Unveiled in May 2019, the SF90 Stradale was Ferrari's first mid-engined plug-in hybrid road car and its combined-output flagship. The SF90 Spider followed in late 2020 with a retractable hardtop.

This guide covers the base Stradale and Spider only; the SF90 XX Stradale and XX Spider are covered in the separate SF90 XX buyer's guide and are not duplicated here. The Assetto Fiorano pack is treated as an option within both Stradale and Spider, not as a separate variant.

What to look for

Authorised dealer paperwork and specification

Confirm chassis number, delivery specification, options, colour, interior trim and any Assetto Fiorano pack against the authorised Ferrari dealer's records, and cross-check every claim against the delivery paperwork and Ferrari's own build documentation. For the base SF90 specifically, verify the Stradale or Spider derivative and any Assetto Fiorano pack against delivery documents; XX Stradale and XX Spider cars belong to the separate SF90 XX guide.

Plug-in hybrid drivetrain and high-voltage system

The SF90 pairs a twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. Confirm battery state, hybrid-system service history and any software update record through the authorised Ferrari dealer service portal — hybrid and high-voltage diagnostics belong with the dealer.

Body, brakes and Assetto Fiorano hardware

The Assetto Fiorano option changes suspension hardware (Multimatic dampers) and reduces weight. Verify the pack's contents against delivery documents, and confirm carbon-ceramic brake condition against the dealer service book.

Body choice — Stradale coupé, Spider retractable-hardtop
